Where's Bankrobber?

Maybe you care, maybe not. Anyway I've not been trading.
I was made an offer I couldn't refuse to build another factory, well actually take over a floundering one, fire most everyone, design and supervise the build of a new one. Mechanical, electrical, air systems, structural on 4 new production lines.
It's fun to spend other peoples $millions like it's going out of style and it's been a very, very big challenge to get things this far.
Photos show what it was and now what it's turning out to be.
Can't wait to finish it, turn the keys over so to speak, get back to BC, relax and not have to deal with people. I miss being in my peaceful trading cave!

Wow... outside the box, Scott. You must have kept some contacts in the business! I'd be curious to know how that proposal was phrased...! Ha. That industry must have grown considerably since you left, given the push toward recycling generally. Too busy to ski?

BCT, that is the same thing I am wondering. I see no mountains and barely any snow. I hope he is within the reach of the slopes. Thanks for the update Scott.

Ha! I care!

Has it really been a year since I took a break?

All the best bro! Looking forward to seeing you work your magic again!

Cool to see a switch up there, hope it all goes smoothly.

If you get a moment, I was wondering if you might be able to reply to my comment on your last post, re: size of account needed to start. I apologize if you've already answered that one in one of your older posts or on the old FnG blog.

Thanks again and good luck!

ES, When you are starting out, the money you have to trade with should be money that you can lose and won't affect your life if you do. You'll need enough so that the trades you choose are not dictated by the money you have. A winner will still be a winner even if the size of the trade is not huge. I recommend not trading huge size at first. What you are looking for are stocks that move a decent amount when they trend.
If I had to say a dollar amount it would be at least $25,000. If you're from the USA, do you still have pattern daytrader rules?
Whatever you do, don't set a dollar amount that you want to achieve a day. That is pure folly to think the market will cooperate to your wishes and will lead you to ruin. A better plan is to open yourself to whatever possibilities that come and along, jump on them and trade YOUR plan.

Thanks Scott.

I was wondering what your top 3 absolute essential readings are to prepare for a career in trading?

Be they books on actual trading and markets, or blogs, or articles, or even material on metal and spiritual approaches. Thanks for your time and advice, as someone who is hungry and starting out, I really really appreciate it.
