CMG

I try to keep a very open mind about what levels a stocks can trade to.
I'm sure CMG makes very tasty tacos and burritos. MMmmm tacos and burritos.
I'm not so sure that it deserves to trade at $200 or have a $6 billion market cap. Well there is no denying it is up there so I am happy to trade with the momentum but its time to take profits and look short soon.
1st chart is CMG entry

Losers

I keep my losing trades small and just because I don't post many doesn't mean I don't have them. I have plenty every day. They are always kept small and unremarkable because that is what my system forces upon me. Here are two to look at.

Volume in SNDK

When I see volume like this come into a stock it means it is in play. Jump in and aggressively add to it.

These days its safer to take profits after a move like this and keep it on the radar for later trades...

Information display-food for thought

I've noticed that when I look at other bloggers charts they seem very cramped and crammed with information compared to mine. I've worked hard to keep things simple and found that it is the best way to operate in trading and life.
In regards to momentum charts what is important is not what happened yesterday so my charts start from today and do not include yesterdays data. My vertical scale seems much greater than the other charts I see. After all, vertical movement is what we make money from. The horizontal movement as the day grinds out is not as important. This makes up the top 2/3rds of my screen. Give it room to show you what it is doing- don't scrunch it down.
Volume is traditionally a key factor but sometimes is marginalized these days so I give it the bottom 1/3rd.
I only view 1 chart in 1 time frame at a time. I will rapidly scroll through my list but always can view only 1 chart at a time. This brings all my focus on that 1 stock and the changes are also evident from when I last viewed it. This is probably the most important point. my peripheral vision is not subconsciously distracting me.
Here's some quotes on simplicity you'll enjoy and maybe take to heart:

Plato - "Beauty of style and harmony and grace and good rhythm depend on simplicity"

Leonardo da Vinci - " Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication"

NFLX From the top down.

This NFLX short was just a high probability shot in the dark as I saw and shorted AAPL at the same time when they popped , then stalled a bit.

Worlds best tomato soup recipe

Some simple pleasures in life can set your mind at ease. Here is one...
It's been a bumper year for my cherry tomato plants and after gorging on them breakfast, lunch and dinner, some more creative ways to eat them had to be devised.
If done correctly the following recipe will knock your socks off:
Use only organic ingredients.
3 cups of cheery tomatoes
1/2 red pepper
1/2 cup of broccoli tops
1 medium apple, slice it up leave the skin on but take the core out
1 medium pear, slice it up leave the skin on but take the core out
1/2 shallot
5 basil leaves
3 cloves of garlic
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1 pinch of pepper
1 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 cup of water

Put everything in a blender and puree it for a minute or so
Heat on medium but don't let it get too hot or it'll lose a lot of goodness
Shred a small handful of Havarti or Gouda cheese put it on top and let it melt.
Serve with fresh baked sour dough bread, lightly toasted and heavily buttered.
Forget all about the market....

GMCR drifting

Markets are drifting at the moment, better to take a little profit and wait for what happens. The perfect Machiavellian plan would be to run it up to new highs and kill the shorts.

GMCR act IV

Gone short again in GMCR

GMCR act III

Got stopped out of GMCR and kept the loss small. It's great to make money but if you don't cut the losers small you will be finished.
Now just keep an eye on GMCR and see which way it goes.

GMCR act II

after covering the short, the only play is to take it long and play the bounce
GMCR long entry

bounce turned into a mini trend change, giving pesky short sellers pain for not taking profits when the candles said to.
I'm selling here into the surge of buyers and taking it short again as the markets are pointing down.
