Wed 23rd

Regardless of what my post below says it wasn't all doom and gloom. Here are a few trades that worked as normal.
Bot BTU on the dip after getting stopped out twice buying the highs.

sold BTU after a long run

shorted TNA when emotions are rulingthe markets. this is where I usually thrive.

covered TNA after a good run

bot VXX at the same time as TNA short

sold VXX, taking profits

dtf and i were wondering how you did today. it seemed extremely difficult for me to get a read on the trend. like you showed, there is always a move to catch somewhere, i just need to find them. thanks for posting even on the more difficult days. it shows me to keep my chin up, headphones on, and do the same thing over and over.

in fact, right at the end of the day, there was a doji on the q's with 10 mins to go. i traded it, not well because i didn't believe it would work but of course, like you show, the market does the same thing over and over again. it was good for at least .25-.45, which is a pretty decent trade on my end.

Good call on TNA Scott - no... make that an excellent call. I don't know how you saw the short coming... I guess the green candle was just too big for the day.

It is encouraging to read your previous post. I thought I traded well today, and the eternal optimist in me says I would have been golden nearly any other day. It is good to know that this kind of activity is unusual. The market can leave this freshman floundering, and just when a guy thinks he has something figured out.

But the coolest thing of all is to see you make some money today - despite what the market was throwing around. I don't think I have ever seen you complain about and get mad at the market lol. Cool beans. My day is coming.

j/ dtf- well i was long TNA /short VXX going into those trades so I was looking for the momo to stall and change, and they did.
I never complain about the markets, thats a pointless endeavor, all a trader can hope for is good movement either way.
The markets today reminded me of a word we used in high school days - "cocktease".
